Founded in 1979 by Mike and Barb Danford, as an orthopedic and sports injury clinic. KPT has become the leading provider in evidence-based physical and occupational services. Having grown from one clinic to eight we remain committed to providing accelerated skill development for our staff and patient care.
KPT has grown into a highly-skilled multispecialty practice allowing therapists to find an area of interest and passion to become specialized in a specific area of care. KPT’s goal is to provide a supportive environment allowing team members the ability to enjoy meaningful work and to excel both professionally and personally.

As the longest-standing private practice in Washington state, serving our community for over 40 years, the KPT TEAM provides evidence-based quality care. We have partners who actively participate in our comprehensive mentorship program. As a part of the KPT team, therapists have direct access to marketing support. Our physician liaison helps ensure outstanding relationships with the providers in our community, coordinates local physician in-service presentations and surgical observation opportunities. We have a local family practice residency program which sends their residents to our facilities to shadow and observe the KPT team. Our clinicians also provide didactic presentations to the residents on a variety of topics. Additional unique opportunities include partnering with the local Tribal clinics to provide on-site therapy and wellness services to their communities and a partnership with our community’s state of the art YMCA facility.
